A nod to the Celestial Peach Garden that Sun Wukong was entrusted to guard. Its ripe peaches were said to grant immortality, and the Monkey King, naturally, could not resist tasting them himself. Lotus root recalls Nezha, the young celestial warrior with a body reborn from lotus, and one of the most vivid mythological figures Sun Wukong encounters along his journey.

上车饺子，下车面 (shàng chē jiǎozi, xià chē miàn) — “dumplings for departure, noodles for return.” Our shiitake jiaozi become the journey dish of this special menu: their deep, earthy flavor evokes mountains, dense forests and winding trails, where another trial may be waiting just beyond the next turn.

The journey of Xuanzang and his companions leads fr om China to India, to Mount Ling and the Thunderclap Monastery, wh ere the sacred sutras are kept. Palak paneer becomes a culinary image of India, the final destination of their long pilgrimage.

Baijiu, sake, peach, white cacao The two Bellinis, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, are inspired by the feast in the Kingdom of Women. Its Queen asks Xuanzang to stay, become her husband and rule beside her, but the story refuses to let the travelers rest for long: as Xuanzang prepares to leave, he is abducted by the Scorpion Demon, and the journey becomes a trial once again.
